New life saving equipment for our Paramedics.

People often ask us what excites a paramedic, or any emergency worker for that matter. The answer is normally: new equipment and tools.

We were excited to take delivery of the full ICU spec Philips Heartstart Intrepids today. These tech-loaded patient monitors enable practitioners to optimize patient interventions and communicate information to receiving hospitals and doctors.

Thank you to Trevor Zaninello from Philips for hand delivering us the first batch in the country. We look forward to saving many lives with these.

Abandoned baby found alive - Tongaat

Earlier this afternoon, IPSS Medical Rescue received a call from Big Show Towing for an abandoned baby, in the Tongaat area.

On arrival of paramedics, the baby was carried to the ambulance by Ismail from Big Show. It is alleged that a person jogging past, had heard the baby’s cries in the bushy area alongside the road.

Due to the nature of the call, and in consultation with Mediclinic Victoria hospital management, it was agreed to transport the child to the private facility for treatment.

The young baby was well dressed and wrapped in a blanket.

We would like to thank Mediclinic Victoria hospital for assisting in the treatment of the young baby. All necessary authorities have been updated.

How can a mother just leave her baby!!! Makes me sick! There are people out there desperate to have a baby! May god bless this child πŸ™πŸ» God bless everyone involved as well

Thank you Mediclinic Victoria

I know of a few mothers who are trying to conceive but can't but mothers that can are doing this... Really frustrating

What if it was a child abduction gone wrong considering the baby looks healthy and well clothed 😭😭😭😭 hope this sweet Angel is ok will be ok

THAT POOR POOR MOTHER. HER HEART MUST BE ABSOLUTELY BROKEN. I HOPE SHE IS SAFE TOO. MAYBE A MOSES IN THE BULL RUSHES MODERN DAY STORY❀️❀️❀️❀️

its sad. mothers. well let me tell you about Big Show, who carried the baby to the ambo. yess. BIG SHOW. years ago a baby was abandoned in the stairway leading to his flat. sad. Big Show adopted the baby after a struggle and today the baby is a fine young lass. showered with love from the family, part of the family, belongs to a loving, caring and responsible family. BIG thank you to Ayesha, for everything. I did posts before on this. may Allah shower his richest blessings on this family.

For everyone who is judging the mum.... Stop. Who r u to judge. Thankfully baby is well

We can all sit back n say how headless the mother is but unless u in there situation you no nothing of what goes on in that mothers head. My grand daughter was lucky her mum left her at child welfare with contact numbers n i was called by my son to take the baby. So its really sad but calling them heartless is wrong. I hv my little gal she is 8 now she knows her mum i take her to see them her parents. Pray bby gets a new loving home.

Yet today is the start of 16 days of activismn for gbv against women and children and you see this.

Hope the baby finds a loving home. Thank you she was heard crying and saved.

Thanks to all who assisted

Makes me so sick that people can do this. Sweet little angel, may you be greatly blessed

We do not know her story. It is very sad and just maybe there is desperation to this story.

glad that the baby is alive and safe.....πŸ’“

It's so sad to hear that a mother does this

This is so heart breaking an innocent baby left like that πŸ˜ͺ

How can a mother be so heartless😭😑

Cat adopt this baby? It will be blessed

Thankyou IPSS and Victoria Hospital.

Baby girl? Can i have her πŸ˜ͺ

Who does this? 😭

How does women brains work.you carry it for 9 months and when it arrives you dump it.No this cannot be tolerated anymore.

If stories like this make you feel angry or heartbroken, please consider making a tangible difference by supporting the women in your life who may be in desperate situations of their own. www.facebook.com/100705485036760/posts/107332037707438/

On straight roads many drivers get tired and or distracted on Cell phones. Golden rule - DON'T "Phone & Drive". If tired take a short rest & walk around car. R.I.P. Anele.

How the hell does the engine end up where it is. But anyway its horrific, condolences to his family

When You are tired as a driver You should find a secure area like a garage or police station and Sleep ..... Being Sleepy while Speeding can sometimes do that .... Deepest Condolences to The Family and South Africa at large ...

R.I.P Anele,but what I don't understand,cricket and rugby players don't experience these accidents!

Safety belt was not worn reading this statement. What I loss for South Africa.

This accident is being reported by eNCA as an accident involving a second vehicle. Kindly contact them and correct them!

What speed was she doing to rip the engine and gearbox out.

Oh my God enough is enough man i think something mst be done with the SA football stars being killed in a road xcedents i mean is very rare the SA football stars die a natural death. no,no this not normal 🀭😲

Looking at where the engine etc are lying it had to be speed surely. Reading online he was not the driver but the female was

BMW drivers should go for the advance driving lessons. If you don't know how to handle it ,this is what happens. BMW offers the course.

RIP. But will the writer please note.....the female was not ENtrapped. She was trapped. Two totally different meanings.

Ey is that an engine..Mr ngcongca was so furious it's shows..r.i.p player

Why why why on a dead straight road - that we have so many fatal accidents on this road.

And this on a straight gravel road.

On a straight road was it speed πŸ‘€ RIP

Behamba ngasiphi ispeed lomuntu imoto iphume ingeen kanje

This is so sad as this young man was in the prime of his life as a top Football player... 😭

Is it important for us to coment about the speed the deceased was traveling on?

Rest in peace man what a talented young man condolences to the family friends and the soccer fraternity

Life is indeed too short.. May his soul rest in peace 🌹

Ooh nkosi yami kwabuhlungu umoya wakhe awulale ngokuthula

That engine thing is a safety feature

kwaze kwabuhlungu ke.silahlekelwe sonke emzansi RIP mfw2 saba ukufa

Great loss to the nation. RIP Anele we gonna miss watching you.

Such a tragic loss to our soccer team. May his dear soul RIP. Wishing the driver a speedy recovery.

It's lovely just wish some decent government hospitals would arrive for us that can't afford m aid

Was there on 11 December 2018 and got the best attention. Prompt, efficient and friendly!! We are so fortunate to have such a first class facility here.

Keep up the excellent service provided to your many patients. They always have praise for the great treatment and care given by your medical staff, not forgetting the other staff that keep the hospital and surrounding areas in a spotless condition. To care for the sick and infirm is a blessing that u, your hospital and staff will continuously receive from our Maker.
